DERMAL FILLERS
Dr. Toossi offers the latest trends in dermal fillers to give you the best possible results to refresh the beauty in your face. Plump up your self-esteem with increased volume that will take years off your appearance and give you a little more bounce in your step…
Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in the body. Dermal fillers are carefully injected under the skin to help treat volume loss in the nasolabial folds, in the smile lines, to give a cheek lift and to be inserted as lip fillers.
While Botox is used to prevent and treat fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and forehead, fillers are generally used to increase volume and give patients a much more youthful appearance in the lower face.

Wrinkles appear after many years of making certain facial expressions. Botox, which is derived from botulinum type A, erases the wrinkles in expressive areas by relaxing the muscles that are creating the wrinkles. Botox blocks the nerve signals that tell those muscles to contract. After a treatment and once the muscles are relaxed, those fine lines and wrinkles fade and can even disappear over time. This is because your muscles are able to relax and no longer make those strong contractions in the areas that cause signs of aging.
There are many factors that contribute to the duration of a Botox treatment. Your unique metabolism, age, muscle strength, dose of Botox, home medications and area of injections. Everyone’s body reacts differently and not everyone will have the same course of action. Younger, more athletic and active clients will need to receive a follow up treatment sooner than those who are older or less active.
To maintain optimal results, Botox should be administered every 3-4 months.
Consistency is key. Over time and with consecutive treatments, there will be a lasting decrease to fine lines and wrinkles.
